PART TIME - 20 hours weekly plus rotating call

Key Responsibilities:
•\tSet up sterile field and gather supplies for surgical cases based on knowledge of instruments and equipment to be used.
•\tPass instruments to surgeons during surgical procedures.
•\tPerform count procedures per policy during surgical cases.
•\tFunction under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Requirements:
•\tLicensure, Certification, or Registration for Hire:
o\tCertified Surgical Technologist (CST), Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C), or Certified Operating Room and Surgical Technician (CORST) preferred.
•\tLicensure, Certification, or Registration for Continued Employment:
o\tCurrent American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification.
o\tMust achieve CST, TS-C, or CORST certification within 24 months of hire.
Experience:
o\t0-2 years of experience as a surgical technologist required.
o\tExperience working in an acute care setting as a nursing assistant or aide (if no surgical technologist experience).
Education/Training:
o\tHigh School Diploma or equivalent.
o\tGraduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program, military training program, Licensed Practical Nursing Program, or Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (RN Interns Only).
