Job Summary:
\n The Surgical Technician functions as an integral part of the perioperative team as the first, second, or assisting Surgical Technician under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role involves delivering safe and effective care to patients during the intraoperative period while maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

\n

\n
• 1+ years of surgical tech experience.
\n
• Ability to independently scrub basic surgical procedures.
\n
• Proficiency in problem-solving related to surgical procedures.
\n
• Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology for optimal surgical patient care.
\n
• Understanding of electricity, chemistry, computers, robotics, and lasers for surgical patient care.
\n
• Knowledge and practice of patient care concepts and perioperative teamwork.
\n
• Application of sterile technique principles during surgical procedures.
\n

Required Education:\n

• Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology
\n
• OR Certificate of completion of Surgical Technology program
\n

Required Certifications & Licensure:\n

• BLS (American Heart Association)
