Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Physician (MD/DO) to join a growing multidisciplinary memory care and senior health program in Sarasota, Florida. This opportunity is ideal for a physician passionate about caring for older adults and improving the quality of life for patients experiencing age-related cognitive, neurological, and chronic medical conditions.
The physician will provide comprehensive geriatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate closely with caregivers, specialists, and clinical support teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. The role also offers opportunities to participate in clinical research initiatives and innovative approaches to memory care and healthy aging.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage geriatric patients with complex medical and cognitive conditions
Perform comprehensive geriatric and cognitive assessments
Develop individualized care plans focused on improving patient outcomes and quality of life
Manage chronic illnesses commonly affecting the aging population
Collaborate with neurologists, behavioral health specialists, therapists, caregivers, and multidisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, disease progression, and supportive care resources
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives when applicable
Support the continued growth and development of the memory care and senior health program
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Geriatrics experience
Active and unrestricted Florida medical license or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure
Experience managing geriatric patients with cognitive and chronic medical conditions preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Strong commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development
Experience in memory care, dementia care, or geriatric-focused clinical practice
Prior involvement in clinical research or quality improvement programs
Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation in senior healthcare
