Ready to take your leadership skills on the road? We’re seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Department Nurse Manager to lead operations in a fast-paced ED and Fast Track setting. This is a unique opportunity to step into a critical leadership role, drive patient outcomes, and support a dedicated clinical team in a dynamic environment.
🚑 Assignment OverviewAs the ED Nurse Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations, coordinate patient care delivery, and provide strong leadership to nursing staff—ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered emergency services.💡 Key Responsibilities- Lead the Team: Supervise, schedule, and coach staff while fostering a positive, high-performing culture
- Operational Oversight: Manage ED and Fast Track flow, staffing, and performance metrics
- Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with clinical standards and improve patient outcomes
- Strategic Planning: Monitor budgets, forecast staffing/resource needs, and drive efficiency
- Collaboration: Partner with providers and leadership to optimize care delivery
- Performance Management: Train, evaluate, and support staff development
- Education: Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred)
- Experience:
- 5+ years as an RN with Emergency Department experience
- 3+ years in a nursing leadership role
- Certifications:
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact as applicable)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Preferred: Flight, paramedic, or grant/program experience
- Strong leadership and team development ability
- Data-driven decision-making and performance tracking
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for patient-centered emergency care
- Combination of clinical and administrative duties
- Exposure to high-acuity emergency care
- Travel in remote or unique environments may be required (including air transport)
- Make an immediate impact in a leadership role
