Location: Jackson, MI 49201
Assignment Length: 8 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Hours: 40 Hours/Week
 

Job Summary

The Pathologists' Assistant works under the supervision of a Pathologist, performing gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, assisting with autopsies, tissue procurement, specimen accessioning, quality assurance activities, and laboratory operations.
 

Requirements

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

    Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program or PA (ASCP) Certification.

    Current BLS Certification.

    Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens.

    Select and submit tissue samples for microscopic examination.
