American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week acute care assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency in general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR imaging.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care hospital radiology/X-ray department with 4 general X-ray rooms and 2 fluoroscopy rooms \n
- Patient volume of approximately 80–100 studies in a 24-hour period \n
- Procedures include all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, and ED imaging \n
- Required to float between general X-ray, fluoroscopy, OR, ED, and portable imaging \n
- Equipment includes 3 GE general X-ray rooms, 1 Shimadzu X-ray room, GE fluoroscopy, GE portables, and OEC C-arms \n
- EMR: Epic (required); PACS: Sectra \n
- Friday through Sunday day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (12-hour shifts); shift mix of 10- and 12-hour days and nights is possible depending on scheduling needs \n
- Schedule posted at least 2 weeks in advance \n
- Holiday coverage required if the holiday falls on a scheduled workday \n
- Occasional call may be required with a 45-minute response time \n

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist \n
- Active ARRT (R) certification required — pending certifications not accepted \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- Active state license required at time of consideration — pending licenses not accepted; license required if applicable \n
- Must be able to perform all general X-ray, fluoroscopy, and OR exams \n
- Epic EMR experience required \n
- Valid driver's license required \n
- Must possess own lead markers \n
- Radiation badge required prior to starting assignment \n
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire \n

- Radiologist is on-site 24/7 \n
- Department is supported by both an imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead techs \n
- IV starting skills are a plus, though not required \n
- Department orientation is typically the first three days of the assignment \n
- Personal scrubs in any professional color are acceptable; hospital scrubs are provided only for shifts worked in the OR \n
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered \n
