Compensation Range:
$454,368.00 - $946,795.00
Our organization, a prominent health system in New Jersey focused on providing exceptional cancer care, is in search of a skilled and motivated Medical Director for Hematology/Oncology. This leader will join our multidisciplinary team at the Cancer Center and will play a crucial role in enhancing clinical excellence, achieving quality outcomes, and driving strategic growth within our Medical Oncology program.
The perfect candidate will possess a keen interest in clinical trials and be enthusiastic about establishing a Hematology Oncology Fellowship.
Key Responsibilities:- Offer clinical leadership and administrative guidance to the Medical Oncology team, which includes physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Formulate and execute best practices, protocols, and care standards that align with evidence-based oncology treatments.
- Work in partnership with Cancer Center leadership to expand and enhance oncology services, such as infusion, outpatient clinics, and supportive care.
- Direct programmatic initiatives aimed at increasing access, enhancing patient experience, and upholding accreditation standards (e.g., CoC, ASCO QOPI).
- Maintain an active clinical practice in Medical Oncology, treating patients with a diverse range of cancer diagnoses.
- Oversee quality metrics and spearhead ongoing performance improvement efforts.
- Guide junior physicians and engage in training programs for fellows and residents.
- * MD or DO with board certification in Medical Oncology (Hematology/Oncology preferred).
- * At least 5 years of clinical oncology experience, showcasing leadership roles.
- * Valid NJ medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
- * Demonstrated experience in program development, quality enhancement, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
