Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Quality Coordinator, you will coordinate quality initiatives along with the Quality Director to include Core Measures, peer review, OPPE/FPPE, Quality Data, and special QI projects. You will learn and perform additional duties within the Quality Management department.  


  • You will assist with coordination, dissemination and implementation of action plans to achieve compliance and improve core measures and quality initiatives 


  • You will perform concurrent review, abstraction, and IRR for Core Measures 


  • You will collaborate and educate physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary hospital staff to facilitate care management to achieve compliance in core measures and improve quality outcomes 


  • You will read, analyze, and record medical information for appropriateness of medical management 


  • You will perform in-depth analysis of medical records identified for potential quality issues and maintain documentation of quality issues 


  • You will effectively communicate or present information related to Quality Department initiatives and take action as directed which may include further review of data, sending letters or other actions as deemed necessary 



Experience 


  • One to three years of experience  


  • One or more years’ experience with performance improvement – preferred  



Education 


  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) 



Licenses and Certifications 


  • Registered Nurse with current State licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact  


  • If working under Compact License, must have current Texas licensure within 90 days of hire
