Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a defense-related location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through the proper chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter zones while maintaining awareness of access points, equipment areas, and other sensitive locations.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to controlled areas in accordance with site policies and post orders.
• Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site requirements, maintaining professional bearing and readiness to respond to security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
