The Opportunity

A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation provider in the Finger Lakes region is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join its care team in Watkins Glen / Montour Falls, NY. You'll evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Your Day-to-Day
  • Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
  • Deliver skilled therapy based on physician referrals and evolving patient needs
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinical outcomes indicate
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately and on time
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader rehabilitation team
  • Supervise rehab aides in accordance with New York State guidelines
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education
What We're Looking For
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • New York State SLP license or eligibility for licensure — Clinical Fellows welcome
  • CCC-SLP preferred for experienced candidates
  • Background in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute settings preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to assist with patient mobility and lift up to 50 pounds

Schedule: Preferred 8:00 AM–4:30 PM with rotating weekend coverage
