This role supports our entire brand portfolio, including our primary turnkey business, Architectural Fabrication, and our growing distribution channel, Alumination Architectural Products.
Position SummaryThe purpose of this position is to effectively and efficiently lead groups of installation teams. As a Superintendent at Architectural Fabrication, you will be essential in overseeing and enhancing our installation functions by managing multiple crews, ensuring quality through regular field inspections, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all client and internal interactions. Your leadership will be pivotal in aligning field operations with organization goals through strategic coordination and team development.
Lead 3-4 Installation Crews, comprising approximately 9-12 installers.
Visit jobsites to inspect site conditions and obtain accurate field measurements.
Responsible for reviewing and approving timesheets and expense reports for direct reports.
Perform weekly field evaluations, quarterly and annual reviews, and manage disciplinary documentation.
Provide ongoing training and feedback from evaluations to improve installer performance.
Coordinate training for direct reports on Salesforce, AF Academy, and Google platforms.
Equip installers with necessary tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform weekly inspections and manage company-issued property for assigned crews.
Manage crews fleet vehicle use and trailers, ensuring functionality and confirming safety checks.
Attend critical weekly scheduling meeting and assist in building our crews schedules.
Communicate with clients onsite to confirm field measurement and installation dates.
Execute schedules and provide progress updates to assigned Project Managers.
Prepare Lead Installers and Foremen for success through thorough scope review meetings.
Verify materials, hardware, and lift equipment are accounted for prior to site mobilization.
Maintain availability during and after standard business hours.
Ability to travel overnight for special projects and site visits out of town as necessary
Experience with Google platforms, Microsoft Office, and other business software.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy.
Related construction, installation, and management experience.
Proven ability to effectively perform and lead under high-pressure situations.
