Toolroom Lathe/Mill Machining Specialist

• Can you set up a manual lathe, mill, or grinder and hold tight tolerances?
• Do you enjoy turning layout lines into accurate parts that drop right into assembly?
• Are GD&T and print reading second nature—and do you have CNC programming experience to match?

What you’ll tackle first

• Full-time, direct-hire role based in the Beaverton, Oregon area (relocation assistance available).
• Run manual equipment—lathes, mills, grinders—to produce parts from straightforward to moderately complex.
• Perform layout by measuring, marking, and scribing; collaborate with a Tool & Die Maker to determine dimensions and plan assembly sequences.
• Fixture parts securely in holding devices; use hand tools to fit and assemble components into mechanisms.
• Verify results against specifications with precision measuring instruments.
• Jump in to support Tool Grinders and Tool & Die Makers to keep throughput on track.
• Bring and maintain your required personal tools and measurement devices.
• Take on related tasks as assigned.

What it takes to succeed

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of machining technology trade school and two years’ toolroom or manufacturing experience; an equivalent blend of education/experience will be considered.
• Hands-on experience with GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Previous CNC programming experience.
