As a Security Officer Armed - Part Time in Greenbrae, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.51 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or public agencies as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and restricted spaces while verifying access permissions, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and reporting security-related concerns.
• Support day-to-day operations by preparing incident reports, maintaining post records, and communicating clearly with supervisors, site representatives, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
