Optometrist

Pearle Vision of Quakertown is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our team in Quakertown, PA. As an integral part of our eye care team, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose vision problems and ocular diseases, prescribe corrective lenses, and educate patients on maintaining optimal eye health. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive clinic environment.

We are a family owned franchise, that has served the Quakertown community for over 40 years.  Currently we have a part time opening--Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough eye exams to assess visual acuity and eye health.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
• Prescribe corrective lenses including glasses and contact lenses tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients on proper eye care and preventative measures to maintain long-term eye health.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document exam results in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals when specialized care is required.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, treatments, and advancements in optometry.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Current and valid state optometry license allowing practice in Pennsylvania.
• Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and diseases.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Detail-oriented with strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple patients efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care.
