Kids Culinary Instructor

Hudson Table is an interactive culinary studio and event space. We specialize in providing unique culinary

experiences to our guests, whether it be a hands-on cooking class, and enjoying a fully customizable

catered event in our beautiful professional-grade open kitchen.

We are looking for a talented Chef with a flexible schedule. They should be able to work in-person after

school programming 1-2 days per week, teach kids classes holiday classes (i.e. Election day, MLK day),

and occasionally kids birthday parties on a weekend.

We also offer full time hours during the summer when our locations host 9 weeks of summer camp

Monday - Friday. Kids attend camp typically from 10 am - 3 pm, with a minimum commitment of 4 weeks

during the summer. Pay is shift pay and depends on the length of class. Most classes have tips included

as well.

Teaching experience, especially with children, is necessary.

Responsibilities include:

● Lead hands-on culinary classes for children in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate manner

● Teach pre-developed lesson plans and recipes while maintaining pacing and structure

● Demonstrate proper cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards

● Supervise and support kids during food prep, cooking, and cleanup

● Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment

● Manage class time effectively to complete all planned activities and recipes

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen throughout each session

● Communicate clearly with kids, parents, and studio staff as needed

● Adapt instruction and provide guidance to accommodate varying skill levels

● Assist with setup and breakdown of classes, including equipment and ingredients

● Uphold company policies, food safety guidelines, and child safety protocols
