Job Description
Job Summary:
Tostada Regia is looking for a detail-oriented and energetic Expo to join our team. The Expo plays a critical role in ensuring that food orders are accurate, prepared efficiently, and delivered to guests in a timely manner. This position acts as the key liaison between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, maintaining high standards of quality, organization, and communication to create a seamless guest experience.
Responsibilities:
Ensure food orders are prepared quickly and meet quality standards
Review incoming tickets and ensure they are addressed immediately
Check for and fulfill any special customer requests
Call out dishes from tickets to coordinate the kitchen team
Ensure all components of orders are completed and ready for simultaneous delivery
Inspect the quality and presentation of finished dishes, requesting corrections if needed
Ensure dishes are delivered to customers in a timely manner
Arrange dishes on trays and garnish them as needed
Communicate and coordinate with servers to expedite table service
Maintain a clean and organized expo station and surrounding work area
Ensure take-out orders are accurately packed and meet customer specifications
Assist on the kitchen line as needed
Support the Kitchen Manager and other staff when required

Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food service role
Ability to read, write, and perform basic math operations
Completion of a certified food handling course and successful exam completion
Knowledge of and ability to perform all kitchen line roles at Tostada Regia
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Effective team player with excellent communication skills
Commitment to excellent personal hygiene and cleanliness standards
