Job Summary:
The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will play a key role in evaluating and supporting children and adolescents with cognitive, behavioral, or learning difficulties resulting from neurological or developmental conditions. This role emphasizes collaboration with a broader care team to ensure comprehensive and integrated treatment plans.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations of pediatric patients
- Assess cognitive function, attention, memory, language, motor skills, and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with pediatricians, neurologists, psychiatrists, therapists, educators, and families
- Develop detailed reports, treatment recommendations, and care plans
- Provide consultations and follow-up care to enhance cognitive and behavioral outcomes
- Educate families on diagnoses and care strategies at home and in school
- Remain current on research and advancements in pediatric neuropsychology
- Participate in research, academic presentations, or publications if desired
- Lead or support training for interns, staff, or community groups on brain development
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all patient care and documentation
Prerequisites / License & Certification Requirements:
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
- Arizona psychology license or eligibility
- Fellowship or experience in pediatric neuropsychology
