Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic mammography imaging with precision and patient safety.
Operates and calibrates mammography equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.
Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles.
Coordinate scheduling and workflow to meet daily imaging targets.
Document and verify patient data, imaging orders, and procedure codes accurately.
Collaborate with radiologists to review images and determine next steps.
Provide patient education and compassionate care to reduce anxiety.
Track performance metrics and contribute to pipeline-based forecasting of imaging volumes.
Stay current with professional development and participate in on-site training sessions.
Assist in departmental process improvements to enhance throughput and accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and sanitize equipment between patients.
Experience/Qualifications
Certification as a Mammography Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
Perform diagnostic mammography with precise imaging and patient safety.
Operate and calibrate mammography equipment; ensure optimal image quality.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles at all times.
Accurately document patient data, imaging orders, and procedure codes.
Collaborate with radiologists to review images and determine next steps.
Monitor and contribute to imaging throughput and pipeline-based forecasting.
Provide compassionate patient education to reduce anxiety.
Maintain on-site professional development and participate in training.
Lead departmental process improvements to improve throughput and accuracy.
Strong ability to work within a high-visibility, target-driven environment.
Experience with coding, scheduling, and workflow coordination in radiology.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and sanitize equipment between patients.
On-site, contract role with strict adherence to on-site presence and schedule.
