Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with ARRT-R certification and Level 1 trauma experience preferred for a hospital-based cath lab.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab unit performing cardiac catheterization procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Preferred experience with Philips Single and Bi Plane Angiography systems
- Required EMR experience with Epic and McKesson
- Call requirements include 1 late call per week (5:30 PM-7:30 PM), 1 call shift per week (5:30 PM-7:00 AM), and 1-2 call weekends per 6-week schedule (Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
- Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Rad Tech License in KY through ARRT required before start; pending license accepted at time of consideration
- License required if applicable
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Cath Lab specialty
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS (PALS not required at time of consideration but must be obtained before start date)
- EKG onboarding exam required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Required Epic charting system experience
- Skills required include EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, hemodynamic monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Experience preferred with angioplasty, diagnostic catheterizations, temporary pacemaker insertion, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, pacemaker insertion, and thrombolysis/thrombectomy
- At least 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, ASD closures, TAVR, Watchman, and Impella insertion
- Support electrophysiology studies including AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
- Responsibilities include accurate patient monitoring, room circulator duties, and sterile field maintenance
- Additional skills utilized include Rotablader, venous access, and rhythm interpretation via McKesson
- Local candidates residing within 100 miles are not accepted for this position
- Returning permanent staff must have been separated from all UK-affiliated facilities for 6 months before returning as a traveler
