Job Summary:
The mammographer position is based in Los Gatos, California. Candidates are responsible for performing routine and specialized breast procedures, including biopsies and needle localization, to produce high-quality images that assist in diagnosis and treatment. The role requires the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adhere to all applicable regulations to ensure patient safety and privacy. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts (1-2 days per month).
- Required Qualifications: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) mammography certification, California State Mammography License, 1 year of experience, proficiency in 3-D Mammography, Digital Quality Assurance Procedures, Hologic 3D imaging, Radiation Safety, Screening Mammograms, and Universal Precautions. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience for submission.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
Candidates must be available to undergo lab work within 3-5 days of signing. All certifications must be in hand at the time of submission, including certifications from AHA (American Heart Association) or American Red Cross. A 7-year work history verification is required, and candidates should have no background hits or DUIs prior to submission. - Module Completion: Modules are completed during orientation, with 1-5 hours recorded via e-learning; excess hours may be billable.
