Residential Manager
Do you enjoy working in human services and want to help improve the lives of individuals in group home settings? As Residential Manager, you will provide leadership, oversight, and supervision to Residential Operations staff while managing the overall program.
- Manage programming and ensure that all residential and community operations provide high-quality services to program participants
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and develop qualified Residential Supervisors, Team Leaders, and other residential staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training; resolve employee relations issues as needed; make decisions related to employment
- Ensure that all shifts are adequately covered within the homes
Participate in the development of home budgets and ensure the fiscal management of the houses - Conduct safety inspections, environmental surveys, and audits; monitor appearance and proper maintenance of facilities consistent with established environmental quality standards
- Ensure that medication assistance given to residents is timely and in proper order/dosage, according to pharmacy, nursing, and state regulations and in compliance with guidelines established by treatment team
- Participate in admissions team and ensure successful admission of participants into residences, including participation in clinical review and decisions regarding potential admissions
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, procedures, and other agency regulations including required
- Assist in providing family support to the residential facility
- Ensure adherence to program transition guidelines to allow for a smooth transition for program participants between residences or to discharge environment
- Participate in executive committee assignments Supervise maintenance of appropriate food and supply inventories
- Provide 24-hour call assistance to the as needed
- Ensure the general maintenance and up-keep of the company vehicle assigned to the house
- Complete monthly required reports and paperwork as needed
- Attend weekly staff meetings with interdisciplinary team and bi-weekly management meetings; participate in house meetings as needed and attend yearly mandatory training
- May manage residential labor plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field
- Minimum of one year of experience with at least one year of supervisory experience
- Three years of experience with group home operation is preferred
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Current driver's license in good standing, car registration, and auto insurance
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others
