As a Security Officer Armed Medical Patrol in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and location requirements, maintaining professional bearing and sound judgment during routine duties and/or emergency situations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
