As a Security Officer Armed Medical Patrol in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. - Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Carry authorized armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and location requirements, maintaining professional bearing and sound judgment during routine duties and/or emergency situations.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
