Security Officer - Access Control Specialist

As a Security Officer Access Control Specialist in Monmouth, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document arrivals, departures, and delivery activity in support of site access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, including production, warehouse, parking, and shipping/receiving areas, with attention to unusual activity and security-related concerns.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, observing site activity, and reporting conditions that could impact operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
