The opportunity

Imagine stepping to a station equipped with CO2, YAG, and flat-cut laser systems. You review the sketch and setup packet, map your sequence, launch the program, and keep a sharp eye for anything off—heat input, edge quality, or a dimension drifting. You verify with micrometers, pin gauges, and vernier calipers, deburr to spec, and flag any process or sequencing anomalies so the next run is even better.

Core responsibilities

• Read and apply sketches, setup sheets, and related documents to machine precision parts.
• Start and monitor laser operations; catch malfunctions and out-of-tolerance conditions early.
• Recognize/report process variation, sequence issues, and dimensional/finish deviations.
• Inspect to specification using micrometers, pin gauges, and vernier calipers.
• Deburr and finish parts as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two or more years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
