Job Description
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving new business growth within a designated territory by identifying opportunities, developing relationships with manufacturing customers, and managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting through close. This role combines technical expertise with consultative selling and requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a field-based sales environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and develop new business opportunities through outbound sales activities, including cold calling, road drops, networking, and in-person client visits.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, solution development, presentations, negotiations, and closing.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with manufacturing customers.
- Serve as a trusted technical resource for clients by understanding their operational challenges and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Consistently meet and exceed sales growth objectives.
3+ years of sales experience with an engineering background through education and/or professional experience.
Experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting through close.
Comfortable with outbound business development activities, including cold calling and territory development.
Technical knowledge or experience in at least one of the following areas:- Pneumatics
- Electrical Sensors
- PLCs
- Robotics
- Vision & Motion Control
- Structural Aluminum & Extrusion Systems
Ability to understand technical applications and communicate solutions effectively to manufacturing customers.
Willingness to spend significant time in the field meeting with clients.
