Job Description
Job Summary
This position is responsible for a wide variety of support services to production and service departments involving material handling, shipping and receiving.
Responsibility
- Perform duties to move materials, supplies, and raw stock to designated places in the facility as needed to maintain the flow of work in various production departments.
- Perform forklift safety inspections daily and note any problems or concerns. Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly.
- Notify supervisor and segregate any unserviceable containers
- Take all deliveries along with packing slips to designated areas. (Ex: Stockroom items to the stockroom)
- Keep outside dunnage area organized
- Take hydraulic fluid/moat to die cast when needed
- Responsible to service both Die Cast and Machining departments
- Other duties as assigned
Academic/Educational Requirements
· High School Diploma or Equivalency Preferred
Required Skills/Experience
· One or more years of forklift experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to communicate promptly and effectively on a hand-held radio
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Knowledge of IATF – 16949 quality systems
Working Conditions
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for prolonged periods continuously, and squat while lifting occasionally.
· This position requires good vision necessary for driving forklift truck using traffic mirrors and stop signs. Continuous mental and visual attention is required to keep product moving in the supply chain while maintaining accurate inventory transactions involving diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and extreme temperatures in the plant environment.
· The noise level ranges from moderate (general plant environment) to high (near machines and furnaces).

· 40 hours per week
· In office, Production area as required.
· Monday to Friday
Please note: All schedules and changes to working hours must be approved by the department manager. Schedule is subject to change based on discretion of department manager.
