Job Purpose

Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and document incident cases.


Duties & Responsibilities

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

· Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

· Install computer peripherals for users.

· Repair computer hardware and software.

· Clean up computers.

· Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.

· Follow up with customers to ensure the issue has been resolved.

· Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.

· Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.

· Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications / Competencies

· Education:

o Pursuing an associates or bachelor’s in computer science.

· Years of Experience:

o 1+ year of experience in an IT related field.

· Job Knowledge:

o Experience with Microsoft, VMWare & Cisco technologies.

o Basic Software developing skills

· Personal Competencies:

o Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

o Excellent communication skills.

o User-oriented and good interpersonal skills.

· Safety:

o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.


Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

· Working conditions are split between a professional office environment and a normal

manufacturing environment.

· Work involves delegating and operation detail.

· Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.

· Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.

·Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative

nature.

· Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

· Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.

The ability to work in loud, hot environments while wearing required PPE.
