Job Title: Technical Trainer
Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 6 Months
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Trainer to design and develop engaging, scalable learning solutions with a strong focus on video-based training and multimedia experiences. This role involves analyzing learning needs, collaborating with subject matter experts, and creating high-quality instructional materials that align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in instructional design, visual storytelling, and multimedia development to deliver impactful, learner-centered training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement learning strategies, including blended learning solutions (in-person, virtual, and eLearning).
- Develop instructional materials such as eLearning modules, curricula, storyboards, scripts, and multimedia assets.
- Create engaging video-based training, including software demos, scenario-based content, microlearning, and walkthroughs.
- Produce and edit high-quality training videos using tools such as Camtasia.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into clear, learner-friendly content.
- Ensure all training materials meet organizational standards, branding, and accessibility guidelines.
- Manage multiple training development projects and deliver within timelines.
- Perform quality assurance, editing, and consistency checks on all deliverables.
- Develop learning solutions across multiple formats (ILT, virtual, self-paced, and video-based).
- Apply problem-solving skills to address challenges and maintain project progress.
- Promote organizational values, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, through training content.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 4+ years of instructional design experience
- Strong expertise in adult learning principles and online learning strategies
- Proven experience creating professional video-based training (scripting, storyboarding, recording, editing)
- Advanced proficiency with:
- Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise)
- Camtasia
- Experience in curriculum design, training needs analysis, and eLearning development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint)
