A day in the lifeYou start your shift with a walkthrough of the production floor, prioritizing preventive work orders. A forming line needs attention—its pneumatic circuit is lagging. You dive into diagnostics, verify air pressures, trace the issue on updated schematics, and swap a suspect valve. Next, a drive alarm steers you to an extrusion unit. Multimeter in hand, you verify control voltages, check sensors and processors, and bring the line back to spec. Before midnight, you align a gearbox using precision gauges, weld a small bracket, and finish a tooling changeover that keeps output on target. Throughout the night, you document findings, keep your area safe and clean, and lend a hand wherever the operation needs you.
What you’ll take on- Install, maintain, and improve production machinery and facility mechanical systems.
- Identify and correct mechanical failures, including pneumatic and hydraulic malfunctions.
- Use precision measuring devices, hand tools, and test instruments for installation and alignment.
- Interpret mechanical drawings and technical data for installs and repairs.
- Perform minor machining; weld when required to complete repairs.
- Keep assigned areas clean and organized to promote a safe workplace.

- Verify operation with instruments such as digital multimeters and ammeters.
- Analyze and repair electro‑mechanical assemblies and process control equipment (processors, sensors, drives, instrumentation, and more).
- Perform additional related tasks as needed to support production goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Solid grasp of electrical theory, including Ohm’s law.
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient with hand tools for electrical and mechanical repair.
- Certified/able to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.

- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Thermoforming and extrusion background preferred.
