Security Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and observant Temporary Security Guard to monitor and protect a vacant building/property for the next several months during construction. This role is responsible for maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols, monitoring for unauthorized activity, and promptly reporting concerns.

This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. Their is the potential to move into a full time role with us once the construction is completed in one of our other departments with multiple schedule options.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the property
• Monitor for trespassing, vandalism, theft, or suspicious activity
• Ensure all doors, gates, and access points remain secure
• Document incidents, observations, and shift activity in daily logs
• Contact emergency services or management when necessary
• Maintain a visible security presence at the property
• Perform basic property checks for safety concerns such as leaks, hazards, or maintenance issues
• Follow all company safety and security procedures

Qualifications

• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
• Ability to remain alert during overnight or extended shifts
• Must pass background screening.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk the property regularly throughout shifts
• Ability to stand, sit, and patrol for extended periods
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions if exterior patrols are required

Schedule 2 Thursday-Sat 6:30pm-7am
