Registered Nurse (Full Time )
Location: Jefferson County
Position Overview
Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.
Location and Hours of Position
PHN Punxsutawney Community Health Center: 200 Prushnock Drive, Punxsutawney, PA 15767
PHN Jacksonville Family Medicine Center: 29 Saltsburg Road, Clarksburg PA 15725
The general office hours for this position are:
- Monday: 7:30am - 6:00pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Thursday: 7:30am - 6:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am - 12:00pm
NO WEEKENDS
Compensation
Position starts at $28.00 (RN) per hour, however, PHN recognizes experience, education and site location when determining wage.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN): Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current unrestricted Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR Healthcare Certification
- Ability to demonstrate competency in nursing skills, assessment and decision making
- Knowledge, skill and ability to provide routine immunizations based on CDC and CDPH recommendations.
- Knowledge, skill and ability to monitor vaccine storage and handling guidelines.
- Ability to demonstrate self-discipline and work independently
- Ability to work over a wide range of areas in a diverse community
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Creative and analytical thinking
- Ability to work under pressure calmly and efficiently, coping with variable workloads, intermittent delays and emotionally charged situations
