Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float position covering the ICU and ED at a hospital in Washington State, requiring a minimum of 3 years of RN experience and day shift availability.

- Float position covering both the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department (ED)
- Acute care hospital setting

- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WA State RN license or compact license currently in hand
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider level) required
- ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 6 months
- PALS certification required or must be obtained within 12 months
- TNCC certification required or must be obtained within 12 months
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- ICU and/or ED nursing experience required
- Ability to perform CPR and lift/carry up to 300 lbs with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, and manage equipment for 8–12 hour shifts
Additional Information
- Float role requires proficiency in both ICU and ED patient care settings
- May be required to function as Charge Nurse, including patient assignment delegation and coordinating staff coverage
- PEARS certification and moderate sedation training to be completed within 12 months of start
- RN-C (ICU) and CEN (ED) certifications are preferred but not required
- Total Joint Program orientation and annual training requirements apply to the ICU role
- Up to 24 hours of call-off may be utilized by the facility across the assignment at no cost to the traveler
