Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring ARRT(CT) certification and at least 1 year of radiology experience, including competency in fluoroscopy, C-arm, and portable radiography.
Details
- Acute care hospital radiology department serving a diverse inpatient population including NICU, CCU, and ED patients
- Performs diagnostic X-ray, fluoroscopic procedures, C-arm fluoroscopy in the OR, portable radiography, and trauma imaging
- Assists with US-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, arthrocentesis, and fluoroscopically guided PICC placements alongside radiology providers
- Noon to midnight shift, 8 hours per shift
- 36 hours per week
- Schedule may include weekends and extended or after-hours shifts
- On-call availability may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience, which may include clinical internship experience
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
- ARRT (R) certification required
- ARRT(CT) certification required
- Current AHA BLS required
- Montana Radiology Technologist license required if applicable
- Demonstrated competency in advanced imaging techniques including fluoroscopic/C-arm in the OR, trauma, and portable radiography required within 6 months
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for 8 or more hours during extended shifts
Additional Information
- Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic exams as requested by healthcare providers
- Completes all required documentation for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Participates in hospital quality improvement initiatives and provides education to radiology students, new hires, and staff on diagnostic and operative guidance exams
- Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Role involves potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging patient situations
- 13-week contract
