Job Summary:
This position is for a Surgical Technologist (OR Technician) located in Jackson, Michigan. The role involves assisting in general surgical procedures by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment, while supporting the surgical team and ensuring patient safety and comfort. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Jackson, MI
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of recent Surgical Technology (ST) experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification, a High School diploma or GED equivalent, and previous travel experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of a CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) accredited Surgical Technology program (not required).
- Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to respond to emergent situations according to established procedures, providing support related to patient preparation, patient transport, and assisting the surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
