Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for an evening-shift hospital CT Scan position, with ARRT certification and an Associates degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program required.

Details

  • Work in a hospital CT Scan department
  • Patient care involves performing diagnostic CT scans across a variety of body regions and clinical indications
  • Monday through Friday evening shift, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
  • 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Associates degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program as validated by active ARRT certification
  • ARRT registered or registry eligible
  • Current BLS certification
  • Kentucky state license required if applicable
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, equipment operation, scanning protocols, image acquisition, and post-processing techniques
  • 2 years of experience as a Rad Tech in diagnostic radiology preferred
  • Prior hospital or medical imaging facility CT Technologist experience preferred
  • Additional ARRT CT certification or equivalent preferred
  • MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient preparation and education, CT image acquisition and processing, assisting radiologists with image interpretation, and maintaining documentation of procedures and adverse events
  • Adheres to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles to minimize patient and staff radiation exposure
  • Performs daily equipment quality control checks and collaborates with biomedical engineering on maintenance needs
  • Participates in orientation of new staff and education of Radiologic Technology Program students
  • Participates in quality assurance activities including protocol optimization and performance improvement initiatives
