Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for an evening-shift hospital CT Scan position, with ARRT certification and an Associates degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program required.
Details
- Work in a hospital CT Scan department
- Patient care involves performing diagnostic CT scans across a variety of body regions and clinical indications
- Monday through Friday evening shift, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Associates degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program as validated by active ARRT certification
- ARRT registered or registry eligible
- Current BLS certification
- Kentucky state license required if applicable
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging principles, techniques, equipment operation, scanning protocols, image acquisition, and post-processing techniques
- 2 years of experience as a Rad Tech in diagnostic radiology preferred
- Prior hospital or medical imaging facility CT Technologist experience preferred
- Additional ARRT CT certification or equivalent preferred
- MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient preparation and education, CT image acquisition and processing, assisting radiologists with image interpretation, and maintaining documentation of procedures and adverse events
- Adheres to radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles to minimize patient and staff radiation exposure
- Performs daily equipment quality control checks and collaborates with biomedical engineering on maintenance needs
- Participates in orientation of new staff and education of Radiologic Technology Program students
- Participates in quality assurance activities including protocol optimization and performance improvement initiatives
