Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for night shifts (4x10) at a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center in Springfield, MO, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT registration in both Radiography and CT.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department within a 500-bed Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center
- Patient population includes ER and inpatient cases, with emphasis on stroke and trauma
- Night shift: 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Thursday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Weekend hours as required by the facility
- No on-call requirements
- Imaging equipment includes GE CT scanners
- EMR and imaging platforms include Epic, Visage, Vitrea, and Medicalis
- Float requirements as determined by facility policy
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent CT Tech experience in a hospital setting
- ARRT registration in both Radiography and CT required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Experience with stroke and trauma cases required
- Proficiency with PACS, HIS/RIS, QC workstations, and power injectors
- Understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and 3D imaging knowledge
- Ability to lift, move, and transport patients; continual standing and walking required
- Ability to adapt to stressful and emergent situations
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
- License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment (unless documented renewal is scheduled)
- No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Performs diagnostic CT scans independently, including all post-processing procedures on Vitrea workstations and necessary functions on QC workstations
- Responsible for patient transport as needed and consistent application of universal precautions and PPE
- Orientation for night shift is conducted on day shift; candidates must be available for the full orientation week
- Flu vaccination or a Mercy-approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
- Black scrubs are required; no other scrub colors are acceptable
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a minimum 1-year separation or transition to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
