Job Opportunity Position Overview

This is a Computed Tomography (CT) and X-Ray Technologist position. The primary focus will be on CT procedures, although experience in X-Ray is also required. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including CT scans and X-Rays as needed.
• Utilize appropriate skills to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Assume independent responsibilities as directed by the Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director.
• Ensure proper care of patients in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• Oversee certain areas, which may involve supervising or instructing department personnel.
• Maintain excellent communication using written, verbal, and messaging formats.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
• Effectively operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications.
• Complete annual mandatory education, including topics such as blood borne pathogens and infection control.
• Maintain department competencies as required.
• Perform IV insertions and injections as part of diagnostic Radiology and CT tasks.

Shifts

• Tuesday and Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday and Saturday: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Optional additional hours available on Mondays to meet a total of 36 hours per week.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

Availability for weekends and holidays may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in CT and X-Ray.
• Experience in travel assignments is preferred.
• Experience working with a current agency for at least 6 months is required.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
• Must possess a valid Massachusetts Radiology License.
• Active certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in CT and Radiography (ARRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Must have a vehicle for transportation to the facility.
