Lead Grounds and Landscape

Are you someone with landscaping and groundskeeping experience who takes pride in maintaining a welcoming environment? Hines Building Services (HBM) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Landscaper to support the grounds and facility needs of a school campus environment.

The Lead Landscaper is responsible for responsible for performing a wide range of landscaping duties with a major focus on grounds management and landscape maintenance, while also applying carpentry skills to support general building and facility needs. The schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Landscape & Grounds

Mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and planting

Irrigation system monitoring and repair

Landscape health and pest control

Seasonal planting

Maintain outdoor areas for safety and cleanliness

Coordinate landscaping vendors

Ensure safety protocols are followed during all landscaping activities to prevent accidents and maintain a secure work environment

General Maintenance & Trades

Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs

Routine and preventive maintenance

Troubleshooting facility issues

Assist with installations and improvements

Ensure safety compliance

What We're Looking For (knowledge, skills, abilities)

5+ years of experience in landscape and grounds maintenance

Strong and extensive landscaping/groundskeeping knowledge

Leadership and problem-solving abilities

Ability to apply general trade knowledge across multiple disciplines

Hands-on experience with construction activities related to outdoor projects

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish & English)
