Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Benefits Data Specialist with strong experience supporting 401(k) plans, benefits data, reporting, and compliance. This is a direct hire opportunity for someone who enjoys working with detailed employee benefits information, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting employees with benefits-related questions.

Salary: 60K-70K

This role is ideal for someone with a background in benefits administration, advanced Excel skills, and experience working with 401(k) plan data, payroll systems, insurance carriers, and benefits administration platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, enter, and maintain employee benefits data from payroll systems, insurance carriers, 401(k) plan systems, and benefits administration platforms
  • Ensure benefits data accuracy through regular audits, reconciliations, quality checks, and reporting reviews
  • Support administration of 401(k) plans, including data updates, reporting, compliance support, and coordination with internal and external partners
  • Generate, write, and analyze reports to support daily benefits administration and strategic department decisions
  • Review benefits data critically to identify discrepancies, trends, or areas requiring follow-up
  • Provide daily assistance to employees regarding benefits questions, enrollment support, claims issue resolution, and general plan informationPrepare insurance invoices for accurate payment and assist with HSA funding processesSupport compliance efforts related to employee benefits regulations, reporting requirements, and internal documentationPartner with payroll, HR, carriers, vendors, and benefits administration teams to resolve issues and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of data analytics, reporting, or benefits administration experience, preferably within Human Resources or employee benefits
  • Experience working with 401(k) plans, benefits data, plan administration, reporting, and compliance support
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with large data sets, formulas, pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with payroll systems, insurance carriers, and benefits administration systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with employees, vendors, and internal teams
