Shift Supervisor- Manufacturing Warehouse

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience coordinating production activities to ensure safety, efficiency, quality, and productivity goals are consistently achieved.

The Shift Supervisor will oversee warehouse and production personnel, manage shift schedules, monitor workflow, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead warehouse and production team members during assigned shifts.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate daily staffing and shift schedules to meet production demands.
• Monitor production output, workflow, and operational efficiency throughout the shift.
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and company standards.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate daily production goals and expectations.
• Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production, attendance, and performance records.
• Collaborate with management, maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Ensure inventory, materials, and equipment are available and properly utilized.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with shift planning and workforce scheduling.
• Ability to lead and motivate employees in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends as needed.

Preferred

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing or distribution operations.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Continuous Improvement principles.
• Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse management software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
