General Labor – Boxing & Packaging

Location: Des Plaines, IL
Position Type: Temporary (8-Week Assignment) with Possible Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Lunch: 30-minute paid lunch, Breaks: Two paid 15-minute breaks

Pay: $17/hour
Language Requirement: English Speaking Required, Bilingual is OK
Employment Requirement: Must be authorized to work in the United States and complete E-Verify documentation

Position Overview

Our client is seeking two dependable General Labor Associates to support warehouse and shipping operations. This assignment will focus primarily on boxing and packaging environmentally responsible cleaning products. Candidates will assist with preparing finished goods for shipment, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse or packaging experience who are looking for a stable first-shift position with the potential to become a permanent employee.

Primary Responsibilities

• Box and package finished products according to company standards
• Prepare pallets and skids for shipment
• Shrink wrap pallets securely
• Assist with packing and shipping activities
• Operate an electric pallet jack
• Load, move, and organize materials throughout the warehouse
• Clean and maintain warehouse floors and general work areas
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (gloves and back support)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, packaging, or shipping experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance
