Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will support a small specialty clinic team by providing comprehensive clinical and administrative assistance. This role involves regular patient interaction and focuses on delivering efficient patient care and smooth clinic operations using the Epic electronic health record system. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards.

13 Week Contract with the option to extend

Hours: 08:30 - 17:00

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake and gather medical history
• Measure and record vital signs accurately
• Manage medical records using Epic EHR software
• Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Provide general clinical support and patient communication
• Conduct laboratory tasks and prepare specimens
• Handle administrative duties ensuring smooth clinic workflow

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical assisting
• MA-C Washington License
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records, especially Epic
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of clinical procedures and protocols
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Effective time management abilities
• Understanding and application of HIPAA compliance
