Job Summary 1st shift 645am -315pm

We are seeking a skilled Tool Room Technician to support manufacturing operations through the maintenance, repair, setup, and troubleshooting of machinery, tools, dies, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read technical documentation and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain grinding, milling, drilling, and related machining equipment.
  • Repair, fabricate, and adapt machine parts, tooling, dies, and fixtures.
  • Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist with equipment repairs and installations.
  • Inspect finished workpieces using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, machining instructions, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of tool room activities.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of machine parts and tooling supplies.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S methodology.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, engineers, production supervisors, and team leaders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical diploma in Machinery, Tool & Die, CNC, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar Tool Room Technician or machining role.
  • Experience with CNC machinery and toolmaking.
  • Strong understanding of machinery, tools, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision when measuring tolerances.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
