Job Title: Electrical Project Manager (Commercial Construction – Large-Scale Projects)
Location: Sullivan, Indiana
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $120,000 annually
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial electrical construction projects valued at $20 million+. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex electrical systems on commercial, industrial, or institutional projects from pre-construction through closeout.
This role requires proven leadership in managing budgets, schedules, field teams, subcontractors, and client relationships on high-value electrical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of electrical construction projects ($20M+) from start to finish
- Oversee project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and profitability
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and milestones
- Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, owners, and subcontractors
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Lead field supervision teams, foremen, and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes, OSHA regulations, and local requirements
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, and progress
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and field issues
- Maintain strong client communication and project reporting
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction
- Proven experience managing large-scale electrical projects ($20M+)
- Strong understanding of commercial/industrial electrical systems
- Experience with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of NEC codes and construction safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with data centers, manufacturing, healthcare, or large institutional projects
- PMP certification a plus
