Maintenance Technician – High-Speed Manufacturing

We're placing a Maintenance Technician with a high-speed manufacturing client. This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping production equipment running at peak performance — minimizing downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and operating safely in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-speed production lines, conveyors, packaging equipment, and support systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures — quickly and accurately
• Execute planned work orders and respond to unplanned breakdowns with urgency
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals
• Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and interface with control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
• Support changeovers, line startups, and equipment commissioning
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS software
• Partner with production and engineering teams to identify and eliminate repeat failures
• Follow all safety, GMP, and quality standards

What You Bring

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment (food & beverage, consumer goods, automotive, or similar preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude — able to work on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and pneumatic systems
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (480V, 3-phase)
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• Experience with CMMS platforms (SAP PM, Fiix, MP2, or equivalent)
• Solid troubleshooting skills — you don't just swap parts, you find root cause
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call as required

Preferred

• PLC experience (Allen-Bradley RSLogix/Studio 5000 preferred)
• Welding or fabrication experience (MIG/TIG)
• Maintenance-related certifications (CMRT, electrical journeyman, etc.)
• Experience with TPM or reliability-centered maintenance programs

Work Environment

This role operates in an active manufacturing facility. Candidates must be comfortable standing, bending, and lifting throughout a full shift and working in varying temperature conditions.
