Job SummaryCuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapy, Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
Responsibilities- Provide advanced respiratory care to patients in Level 3 NICU settings.
- Utilize neonatal oscillating and Draeger vents for patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including infection control standards.
- Float between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses as needed, providing high-quality care in various units.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver optimum care to neonates and pediatric patients.
- Participate in patient transport and the training of new staff or students as required.
- Must have a current Connecticut state license with CRT or RRT credentials.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, including experience in a Level 3 NICU.
- Proficiency with neonatal oscillating and Draeger vents required.
- BLS certification and additional certifications such as ACLS, CPFT, NRP, and PALS highly preferred.
- Ability to use EPIC charting system for patient documentation.
- Availability to work every other weekend and adapt to variable census and staffing needs.
