Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MT/MLS)
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday
Duration: 4 Weeks (Extension Possible)
On-Call: None
EMR: Cerner
Scrubs: Any Color
We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a travel assignment. This position offers a consistent night shift schedule with no on-call requirements and the opportunity for contract extension.
Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures on patient specimens.
- Conduct microscopic, bacteriological, hematological, immunological, and chemical analyses.
- Process and analyze samples including blood, urine, tissue, stool, synovial fluid, and other body fluids.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Follow laboratory quality control and safety protocols.
- Document laboratory findings accurately within the Cerner EMR system.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or Medical Laboratory Science program.
- Current MLT, MT, or MLS certification preferred.
- Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Night Shift Schedule (7 PM – 7 AM)
- Sunday – Wednesday Schedule
- No Call Requirements
- Cerner EMR Experience Preferred
- Any Color Scrubs Allowed
- 4-Week Contract with Potential Extension
