Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a Level 1 Trauma Center in Downers Grove, IL, with experience in routine CT procedures and a minimum of 12 months of specialty experience.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with 333 beds, Level 1 Trauma Center, Magnet Designation, and Primary Stroke Center designation
- CT department serving inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient populations
- 1:1 patient ratio with approximately 10–12 exams per 8-hour shift
- Uses GE CT Revolution, GE CT HD750, GE CT Light Speed, and GE PACS
- EMR: Epic (experience preferred)
- 8-hour day shifts, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation and no on-call requirements
- Holiday coverage expectations vary
- No floating required
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months of core CT experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Graduate of an accredited CT program
- Current BLS, ARRT (CT), and IEMA certification
- Active license required, if applicable
- Proficiency in routine CT procedures including chest, abdomen/pelvis, PE, brain, and head
- Ability to perform portable exams in the ED and other inpatient units
- 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN dated within the last year
- Candidate DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Candidate middle name or initial required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs routine and portable CT exams across inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings
- Works both independently and collaboratively with ancillary staff and other CT Technologists
- RT and Hospitalist support available 24/7 on the unit
- Orientation includes a general onboarding session followed by 24–40 hours of unit-specific orientation
- Time off requests are subject to approval by the Lead CT Technologist and Manager
- Professional scrubs required; department scrub color is Caribbean Blue, but any professional scrub color is acceptable
- Free parking available on-site
- First-time travelers will be considered upon review
- Former employees of Advocate Health or any subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible
