Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and industrial operations, is seeking a EHS Specialist to join their team. As a EHS Specialist, you will be part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety department supporting plant operations and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: EHS Specialist
Location: Tampa, FL
Pay Range: $42.50
Shift: 7:30am start time
What's the Job?
- Support the implementation and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety systems at the plant.
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and accident investigations to ensure compliance and safety improvements.
- Collaborate with plant management and teams to identify and address safety risks and deficiencies.
- Assist with employee safety training and ensure completion of EHS-related education programs.
- Utilize EHS enterprise systems to record, analyze, and report safety data and incidents.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Safety Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience managing workplace environmental, health, and safety programs.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental policies, and safety procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work flexible hours and support on-site safety initiatives.
