Carpenter's Helper

The Carpenter's Helper plays a vital role in supporting lead carpenters in residential construction, renovations, and remodeling projects. This position involves assisting with material handling, tool preparation, and job site support while maintaining safety compliance. The role provides opportunities for skill development through on-the-job training and allows for advancement within the trade. Candidates will work primarily at single sites, with occasional multiple site visits within a day.

Responsibilities

• Handle and organize materials for carpentry tasks
• Prepare and maintain tools and equipment for daily use
• Assist carpenters with various construction and remodeling duties
• Measure and mark materials according to project specifications
• Load and unload supplies at job sites
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
• Provide general support to the job site and team

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction
• Strong math skills for accurate measuring and marking
